Reading order

Why these questions come before the casino

  1. Licence first

Which regulator, whether the number is in a register, and what that regulator can compel; the licences guide and the legitimacy check.

  2. Then the cashier

Verification timing and wagering arithmetic decide whether a win becomes a withdrawal; the KYC and wagering guides.

  3. Then the extras

Rakeback, provably fair proofs, ownership maps and region blocks explain the rest of a scorecard.

A player who reads a list of twenty brands without knowing what a licence number proves, or what happens to a bonus balance under a rollover, is choosing on logos. The order of a ranking is only useful once you can argue with it. Each guide is written to give you that argument: the rule, the number attached to it, and the operator whose documents show what the rule does in practice.

Two of them do heavier lifting than the rest. The scoring guide prints the exact thresholds behind every number on this site, and the licence guide explains why a brand can hold a real, checkable permission and still leave you with nowhere to complain.

The rule

What a guide here is allowed to claim

Numbers come from operator terms, help centres, regulator registers and the computed scorecards, never from a marketing page. Where an operator publishes nothing, the guide says so and stops. That silence is often the most useful line on the page: an absent processing time or an unpublished rakeback rate tells you something real about how the business is run, and it is the kind of detail that gets smoothed away everywhere else.

Where sources disagree, both readings are printed. A footer that names one regulator while the terms name another is not a defect in the research, and neither is an aggregator quoting a licence number that expired two years ago. It is the material.

Put the rule to work on a real shortlist

Every guide ends by pointing at the lists and scorecards that use its rule. The criterion lists re-rank the roster for whatever matters most to you; each brand carries a full scorecard with the reason next to every number.
